Any persons buying condos from Pointeofview Developments should MEASURE IT before taking possession. I recently measured a condo at Lake Chaparral and it meausures anywhere from 40 to 130 square feet to small, depending on how one measures.
They sold me a condo at 841 square ft. and its only 799 square feet, on the inside perimeter paint to paint. They are in a breach of contract, yet they just sent me a letter threatening to sue me if I don't fulfil my contract obligations.
Also, Lake Chaparral has not yet registered the condo plan. Why? The sale representative tells me they are 86% sold. Is she lying? Don't know! This is a RED flag to me! I ask the right questions, but not getting the right answers or no answers. I should be suing them for my deposit, not them suing me.
I did a walk through prior to the possession date which took 3 people 1 1/2 hours to make a list of defects, which may or may not be fixed. The work on the condo is "sloppy", just a "patch" job in most cases. I see this and I'm not a expert in construction, just a consumer looking to buy a home. This purchase is a nightmare, with no transparency, staff who are rude and difficult to deal with. LAKE CHAPARRAL is a 45 plus building with seniors purchasing units there. I'll take the "risk" on this one and keep the rest of my money and "walk".
