Harvest Hills NeighbourhoodHarvest Hills is located in north central Calgary, south of Country Hills Boulevard and east of Harvest Hills Boulevard. The neighbourhood is built around Harvest Hills Lake, and began development of mostly single family homes in the late 1980s. Harvest Hills is close to the airport and has very quick access to Highway 2 and Deerfoot Trail. Country Hills Boulevard gives it quick access to the Trans-Canada Highway West to Banff.
Harvest Hills Schools Public board pupils are bused to Brentwood Elementary, Colonel Irvine Junior High on Northmount Drive, and John Diefenbaker High in Huntington.
Separate board students are bused to St. Margaret's elementary/Junior High in Charleswood, and St. Francis High on Northmount Drive. This year there is a new elementary/junior high opening in Harvest Hills.

Harvest Hills Shopping There are quite a few opportunities for shopping in and near Harvest Hills. Country Hills Town Centre, on the north side of Country Hills Boulevard has a multitude of stores, complete with Silver City, a multi-theatre movie complex. There is also a community strip mall, in addition to established shopping is nearby at Beddington Town Centre and other stores in Calgary Co-op building. Deerfoot Mall is across the Deerfoot Trail.
Harvest Hills Recreation  Harvest Hills Golf Course is a nine-hole golf course on the east side of the community. There is also an 18-acre stormwater pond perfect for skating, boating and waterfowl. Harvest Hills is also connected to the east-west pathway system for runners and cyclists.
Harvest Hills is only a minute away from the nearly 200,000-sq.-ft. Cardel Place, which boasts a fitness centre, multi-component aquatic facility, three gymnasiums, two NHL-sized arenas, community library, community meeting rooms and offices, pro shop, medicine clinic, child-care services and food service facilities.
