Country Hills, Calgary is located north of the communities of Beddington and Sandstone Valley, east and south of Country Hills Boulevard. The neighbourhood is not only close to the airport and to the major highway, The Queen Elizabeth #2, to the north. Country Hills Boulevard gives it fast access to the Trans-Canada Highway to Banff. Construction in Country Hills began in the early 1990s and a semi-private golf course was created along the West Nose Creek Valley.
Schools Public school students in the north portion are bused to Collingwood Elementary, Sir Wilfrid Laurier Junior High on 32nd Street S.E. and James Fowler High in NW Highland Park.
Public school pupils in the south part are bussed to Buchanan Elementary in NW Highland Park, Colonel Irvine Junior High on Northmount Drive N.W., and Queen Elizabeth High in Hillhurst.
Separate School students attend St. Margaret Elementary/Junior High in Collingwood, and St. Francis High on Northmount Drive N.W.

Shopping
There are quite a few opportunities for shopping in and near Country Hills. Country Hills Town Centre, on the north side of Country Hills Boulevard has a multitude of stores, complete with Silver City, a multi-theatre movie complex. There is also a community strip mall just off of Country Hills Boulevard, in addition to established shopping is nearby at Beddington Town Centre and other stores in Calgary Co-op building. Deerfoot Mall is a few minutes south and across Deerfoot Trail.
Recreation There is a one-acre tot lot with playground equipment and a toboggan hill in the community. The 800 acre Nose Hill Park is about 2 kilometres away.
